The soliDar team is deeply concerned for the people in
Venezuela—some who were recently deported from Metro Detroit.
Our thoughts are with everyone affected, both in Venezuela and here in Michigan, and we wish for the safety and well-being of all those impacted.

How You Can Help
We know that many of you want to help the people of Venezuela after witnessing the destruction of the two earthquakes.

The economic insecurity before the natural disasters made it difficult to send assistance. Because of this, we recommend making donations to international organizations with a track record of good stewardship and effectiveness in serving people.Â

We are collecting funds, food, clothes, diapers, wipes, formula, etc. for Venezuelan families here in Metro Detroit to ease their financial strain, allowing them to send money home. For those in detention your donations will allow us to fund their telephone accounts so they can call their family.
